Welcome to the application for Yale Model United Nations Institute 2019!
YMUNI 2019 will occur August 3rd- August 8th, 2019.
High school students who will be entering the 9th-12th grades (between the ages of 13-17) the fall of 2019 are eligible to apply. The application is open to domestic and international students.
YMUNI is looking for students who are passionate about the world around them, who are seeking ways to use their voice to impact this world, and who are eager to reach their highest potential as students/scholars/leaders.
This application is comprised of five parts: Background Information, Essay Questions, an optional Recorded Interview, Additional Information, and Recommendations.
We ask that you send the optional Video Interview to us directly via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. You will receive confirmation of receipt of these materials.
We are accepting applications until April 27th, 2019 at 11:59 pm EST. International applicants are strongly encouraged to apply before April 1st, 2019 at 11:59 pm EST. Note that you can/should submit this form even if your teacher/adult reference has not yet been submitted.
The program will cost $1,500 per student, with room/board, meals, tuition, and all activities for the students included. There is also limited financial aid available, which a student can indicate need for through the application form. On the application, there is a field to write briefly on what type of need one might need, which is a space where you can indicate if you might need full/partial aid -- with a brief comment on what your current situation may be (if you feel comfortable sharing). YMUNI is committed to being as inclusive, diverse, and accessible as possible, and should you have any questions whatsoever -- please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We hope that everyone that may be interested in public-speaking, international relations, and building community/confidence chooses to apply, and we can't wait to read your applications!
All questions can be sent to email@example.com.
